Crane Remote Controls

Built Around Your Crane

Crane Remote Controls For Industrial Lifting

A pendant cable ties your operator to one spot. A cab ties them to the crane. Neither is where the load is. A Techwell industrial crane remote control system puts the controls in the operator’s hands — so they can stand where the job actually happens. Our crane remote controls run overhead cranes, hoists, gantries and jibs in steel mills, workshops and ports across more than 40 countries.

What Is An Industrial Crane Remote Control System?

It is simpler than most people expect. Every radio remote control for crane systems has two parts. A portable transmitter — the unit in the operator’s hands — sends the commands. A receiver, fixed on the crane and wired into its motor controls, turns those commands into motion.

Press a button or push a joystick, and the bridge, trolley or hoist responds instantly. No cable. No fixed station. The wireless crane controller talks to its receiver over a frequency-hopping radio link, so nearby equipment cannot hijack the signal. One transmitter pairs with one crane — or several, if that is how your site works. More on that below.

One TECHWELL Remote System, Many Cranes

Real plants rarely run one crane in one bay. So our crane remote control systems speak several “languages” of multi-crane work:

Choose Your Crane Controller

Push-button Remote Controls

Eight to twelve large keys you can hit with gloves on. Single-speed for simple hoists, dual-speed for precise positioning. About 20 hours on standard AA batteries. If your crane runs straightforward up-down and travel motions, this crane controller is the honest choice.

Shoulder-carried joystick Remote Controls

hen the crane needs proportional control — smooth bridge travel, combined motions, grab or rotator functions — a joystick crane controller is the right tool. Dual-axis levers, detent or stepless versions, and an optional display with live data and camera feedback. The strap carries the weight; both hands stay free.

Where TECHWELL Crane Remote Controls Work

Steel Mills And Foundries
Workshops And Assembly Lines
Warehouses And Logistics Yards
Mines, Ports And Harsh Outdoor Sites

Steel Mills And Foundries

Heat, dust and electromagnetic noise — the worst environment a radio link can meet. This is exactly where our overhead crane remote control systems prove themselves. In one retrofit for a global steelmaker, operators moved 30 m away from the furnace line and handling efficiency still went up 28%. Eighteen months on, the system has not recorded a single failure.

Workshops And Assembly Lines

Dies, moulds and machined parts need millimetre placement, not speed. Two-stage buttons and proportional joysticks let the operator creep the load into position, then finish the move. It is the kind of fine control a fixed station rarely gives.

Warehouses And Logistics Yards

Hoists, monorails and gantry cranes run all day in these sites, often with rotating crews. Our wireless hoist remote control units start up in seconds and swap batteries without losing the link — so the 6 a.m. shift picks up exactly where the night shift left off.

Mines, Ports And harsh Outdoor Sites

Rain, salt air, -25°C mornings or +70°C afternoons — the housing is sealed to IP66 and built from industrial-grade materials, and the radio keeps working through it. For explosive atmospheres, we build ATEX/IECEx and MA/KA certified versions of the same platform.
